These paintings are based on perspective and movement. Video documentation is provided i.e., the composition changes according to the angle from which the viewer gazes. The foreground paint virtually “moves” across the background as the viewer changes perspective. They are inspired by a method of drawing that was developed by the renaissance masters, wherein the artist viewed the subject through a window and a grid pattern in order to achieve an “exact representation” of reality.
